BWB Consulting strengthens Birmingham presence with move to Cubo Colmore Row 03.11.2026 BWB Consulting is strengthening its presence in Birmingham with a move to new offices at Cubo, Colmore Row, reflecting the continued growth of its team, client relationships and project portfolio across the West Midlands. The integrated engineering and environmental consultancy has relocated from its current Livery Place office to Cubo at 55 Colmore Row, providing a new city-centre base for its Birmingham team and supporting the next stage of BWB’s growth in the region. The move follows a period of continued investment in BWB’s Birmingham operation, with the team supporting major projects across the West Midlands and further strengthening relationships with clients across the property, infrastructure and public sectors. Located in the heart of Birmingham’s business district, the new office provides modern, flexible workspace alongside meeting and collaborative areas, creating more opportunities for BWB’s teams, clients and project partners to work together. For BWB, this reflects the progress made by the Birmingham team and the company’s long-term commitment to the city and wider West Midlands. More than 25 years in Birmingham BWB established its Birmingham office in 2000 and has since played a part in some of the city and region’s most recognisable developments. Over that time, the business has continued to expand the breadth of expertise available from Birmingham, combining local knowledge and client relationships with specialist engineering, environmental, infrastructure, project management and placemaking expertise from across BWB. Today, the team works across a diverse range of markets including urban regeneration, industrial and distribution, strategic land, education, healthcare, highways and infrastructure, power and renewables, rail and public property. The move to Colmore Row represents the next stage of that story, giving the Birmingham team a central base from which to continue developing BWB’s relationships and presence across the West Midlands. Supporting the transformation of the West Midlands The Birmingham team is contributing to a strong portfolio of projects across the city and wider region. Among them is The Tea Factory in Digbeth, the transformation of the historic former Typhoo Tea factory into the BBC’s new Birmingham home. BWB is the structural designer for the project, which has been shortlisted for the Institution of Structural Engineers’ Structural Awards 2026. Through a reuse-led engineering approach, around 70% of the original building has been retained, helping give the century-old structure a new purpose while supporting the wider regeneration of Typhoo Wharf. The team has also supported Peddimore, the major 71-hectare employment development in Birmingham, by providing integrated expertise across disciplines, including civil and infrastructure engineering, ground engineering, structural engineering, transport planning, utilities, and water engineering. Across the wider West Midlands, BWB continues to support major developments including SPARK Walsall and Worcester Six Business Park, demonstrating the breadth of the team’s work and its role in helping clients unlock complex sites and deliver long-term investment across the region. Together, these projects reflect the range of expertise within BWB’s Birmingham operation and its ability to bring together specialists from across the business, supporting projects from early strategy, feasibility and planning through to detailed design and delivery. Building on strong regional momentum The move comes alongside wider investment in the Birmingham team and its technical capabilities, supporting BWB’s ambition to continue developing its client base, strengthening existing relationships and growing the range of multidisciplinary work delivered from the city. Shirley Dumigan, Director at BWB said: “BWB has a long history in Birmingham and the West Midlands, but there is also a real sense that we are entering another exciting period for the office. “We are working with fantastic clients on some genuinely significant projects across the region, while continuing to strengthen the team and the range of expertise we can offer locally. “Our move to Colmore Row reflects that momentum. It puts us right in the heart of Birmingham and gives us a modern, collaborative base where we can bring our people, clients and project partners together. “The West Midlands continues to offer huge opportunity, and we want BWB to play an active role in what comes next.” Investing in BWB’s future in the West Midlands The relocation reinforces BWB’s continued investment in its regional presence and its ambition to combine strong local relationships with the expertise and resources of a national integrated consultancy. BWB operates from five offices across England – Birmingham, Leeds, London, Manchester and Nottingham – allowing its teams to remain close to clients and projects while drawing on specialist expertise from across the wider business. From its new Colmore Row base, the Birmingham team will continue to support established clients, develop new relationships, and build on more than two decades of BWB involvement in the city and the wider West Midlands.
