Robin Green promoted to Technical Director within BWB’s Water Team

BWB Consulting is pleased to announce the promotion of Robin Green to Technical Director within our Water team, recognising his technical expertise, leadership and contribution to some of the UK’s most complex development and infrastructure projects.

Robin has worked at BWB since 2007 and has more than 18 years of experience in flood risk and the water environment. During that time, he has helped establish and develop BWB’s capabilities in hydrology, hydraulic modelling, flood risk management and sustainable drainage.

As Technical Director, Robin will continue to provide technical leadership across our Water Management and Flood Risk services, supporting project teams, mentoring colleagues and helping clients navigate increasingly complex environmental, planning and regulatory requirements.

Delivering practical solutions to complex water challenges

Robin has supported public and private sector clients across the property, infrastructure, rail, energy and strategic land markets.

His specialist experience includes one-dimensional and two-dimensional hydraulic modelling, rural and urban hydrology, flood studies, breach analysis, flood risk mapping, floodplain compensation, Sustainable Drainage Systems, river restoration and the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments.

He has also played an important role in BWB’s work on major Development Consent Order projects and Strategic Rail Freight Interchanges, helping multidisciplinary teams address flood risk and drainage considerations from the earliest stages of planning.

Robin’s project experience includes East Midlands Gateway, Northampton Gateway and Hinckley National Rail Freight Interchange, where he has led hydraulic modelling, stakeholder engagement and the development of flood risk management and drainage strategies.

Throughout his career, Robin has supported projects that demonstrate how carefully managed water can unlock development while providing wider benefits for communities.

At Pebble Mill in Birmingham, Robin worked in partnership with Calthorpe Estates, and the Environment Agency to develop a strategic flood risk management scheme that supported the regeneration of the former studios into a world class medical park while also providing improved flood protection to more than 100 nearby homes.

Robin was also involved in the Selly Park South Flood Risk Management Scheme, where collaboration between the client, Environment Agency, Birmingham City Council and  enabled the expansion of a charitable healthcare facility while also helping reduce flood risk for more than 220 properties.
