  • Track Design

    The rail track team is responsible for a whole range of tasks such as track re-alignment. In track re-alignment we look at the movement of track, this could mean making it lower or higher, moving the track because of structures, platforms or passing of other vehicles. As well as re-alignment we look the improvement of rail and how it can be more effective and last longer. The track team also can work with rail civils for any structure work which may affect the track.

  • Rail Civils Engineering

    The rail civil team are responsible for realigning platforms ensuring step free access on to trains reducing risks and making life more convenient for wheelchair users or people with other disabilities. The civil team also undertake surveying at various sites all around the country checking current drainage design, making sure issues which may affect the design can be highlighted. Night surveying is also done where the team go out on site and see if anything will affect the designs which have been created. This will then lead onto Dilapidation reports which inform clients of potential issues with other assets in the vicinity. Design checks are also carried out ensuring that railway bridges and crossings are structurally sound.
