BWB's role
Comprehensive engineering solutions
We played a crucial role in successfully realising the Kara Street project, providing a comprehensive suite of engineering and consultancy services. Our involvement was pivotal in addressing the complex challenges associated with developing on land left derelict for over a decade, ensuring the project's viability from an engineering perspective.
Our contributions spanned the entire project lifecycle. Key services provided included civil and structural engineering, innovative drainage strategies, meticulous earthworks planning, detailed flood risk assessment and mitigation, comprehensive ground investigation and improvement, and advanced water engineering solutions.
Addressing complex challenges
One of the critical challenges we overcame was the site's history of disuse, which necessitated extensive ground investigations to assess and improve the land's suitability for construction. Our expertise ensured the development's foundations were robust and sustainable, laying the groundwork for a resilient community.
Sustainable water management
In addressing flood risk, we conducted thorough risk assessments and developed effective water management strategies, safeguarding the development against future flooding and contributing to the site's long-term viability. Our ability to work collaboratively across various disciplines ensured that all aspects of the project were seamlessly integrated, resulting in designs that were not only technically sound but also compliant with all relevant regulations.
Engineering excellence and urban regeneration
Our integrated approach and contribution to Kara Street exemplify our commitment to delivering engineering excellence and sustainable solutions and have helped to transform a neglected site into a thriving, eco-friendly community, showcasing the power of strategic urban regeneration.
