Celebrating Growth - Promotions across BWB

We’re proud to share a series of senior promotions across BWB, recognising the contribution, leadership and progression of colleagues who continue to strengthen our business and deliver high-quality outcomes for clients across the UK.

These appointments reflect our continued investment in people, technical excellence and market-focused leadership as BWB grows.

Strengthening leadership in Leeds

In our Leeds office, Kerry Spencer and Kim Carter have both been promoted to Director, reflecting their leadership, technical expertise and impact across a wide range of projects.

Kerry joined BWB in 2010 as a graduate and has progressed into a senior leadership role through her work on complex structural projects and her commitment to mentoring and developing others. Kerry is taking on the exciting Market Lead for Education, helping to shape BWB’s National approach to a sector that delivers long-term social value and future-focused design.

Kim joined BWB in 2016 as an Environmental Consultant and has played a key role in strengthening the business’s environmental capability. Her leadership on multi-disciplinary coordination has supported sustainable decision-making and enabled projects to be shaped from due diligence through planning and into design. Kim is taking on the Market Lead for Strategic Land, helping to shape BWB’s National approach to a sector supporting clients with strategic, early-stage advice.

The promotions form an important part of BWB’s Regional Leadership Plans and support Simon Stanley’s relocation to lead our Birmingham office. Kim and Kerry will lead the Leeds Office, collaborating to deliver operations, support staff wellbeing, and drive business development in the Yorkshire Region.

Investing in early careers and progression

In the Property Division, Paul Biddles has been promoted to Operational Director. Paul’s progression at BWB demonstrates the opportunities available to those who commit to developing their skills and experience within the business.

Having joined BWB as an apprentice, Paul has progressed through every core role within the Property discipline, from apprentice to technician and engineering roles, and into senior leadership. His promotion reflects both his personal commitment to continual development and BWB’s structured approach to supporting early careers and internal progression.

Technical excellence and discipline leadership

Richard Robinson has been promoted to Technical Director for Ground Solutions and will also take on the role of Head of Discipline for Ground Solutions.

Richard joined BWB as a Consultant and has played a central role in strengthening technical excellence across the Ground Solutions discipline. As Head of Discipline, he is responsible for setting technical standards, supporting teams and driving the continued growth and development of the Ground Solutions capability across the business.

Supporting future growth

These promotions strengthen BWB’s leadership structure and support delivery of the business plan by reinforcing technical excellence, deepening market focus and continuing to develop the people who underpin our success.

We congratulate Kerry, Kim, Paul and Richard on their well-deserved promotions and look forward to the continued impact they will have across BWB and for our clients.
