Our Role

Our team developed a detailed drainage strategy for the site, ensuring that the drainage design aligned with the existing infrastructure and effectively managed surface water. The drainage strategy was tailored to suit the site’s constraints and to mitigate any potential issues associated with water management.

Structural design

Throughout the design phase, we coordinated closely with the client and stakeholders to refine the drainage and structural designs, addressing any challenges that arose and ensuring that our solutions were fully integrated with the wider development plan. Additionally, we provided full civil and structural engineering design services for the main building and associated facilities.

Planning and stakeholder support

Throughout the design phase, we coordinated closely with the client and stakeholders to refine the drainage and structural designs, addressing any challenges that arose and ensuring that our solutions were fully integrated with the wider development plan. This required careful planning and coordination to ensure that the proposed solutions complemented the surrounding facilities without causing disruption during the construction phase.

Overcoming challenges

The York Sports Village project presented several challenges, particularly in integrating the new drainage and structural designs with the existing university infrastructure. This required careful planning and coordination to ensure that the proposed solutions complemented the surrounding facilities without causing disruption during the construction phase.
