Our Role

BWB provided multi-disciplinary services, including civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering. Our team developed a foundation solution to support the structure, incorporating foundations and a frame capable of withstanding the loads imposed by the multi-storey building.

Foundation design

We were also responsible for the design of the foundation and retaining walls, ensuring the structure’s integrity despite challenging ground conditions. Given the building’s proximity to listed structures and the NET Tram viaduct, we conducted detailed structural assessments and developed mitigation measures to minimise potential impact on surrounding assets.

Stakeholder engagement

Our team worked closely with Nottingham City Council and other stakeholders to ensure that all planning and regulatory requirements were met, especially given its location near valuable assets and listed buildings.
