Our Role

BWB provided mechanical and electrical engineering design services for the Stafford Learning Resource Centre project, guiding the development from the performance stages to detailed design. Our team was responsible for ensuring that the mechanical and electrical equipment met all regulatory and performance standards, while also considering energy efficiency and budgetary constraints.

Cost-saving engineering

We also conducted value engineering assessments, identifying opportunities to reduce costs without compromising the building’s quality or functionality. As part of our remit, we provided final assessments and performance calculations to support Building Control submissions, ensuring compliance with Part L requirements.

Project Delivery

The project’s constrained budget presented a significant challenge, requiring the team to deliver all designs and engineering solutions within tight financial limits. Our value engineering assessments helped mitigate this issue by identifying design modifications and equipment choices that reduced costs while maintaining the building's overall quality and performance. This approach allowed us to complete our work ahead of schedule and facilitated a smoother project delivery.
