Our Role

We provided a comprehensive range of services for the Ellesmere Port project, including structural, civil, geotechnical, and environmental services. Our civil engineering team developed a drainage design to effectively manage site water, ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Remediation strategy

A significant part of our role involved addressing asbestos found on-site during the early stages of the project. Our team worked closely with the client to develop a cost-effective remediation solution that not only mitigated environmental risks but also kept the project on schedule. Additionally, we contributed to the design and implementation of specialised areas, including battery storage facilities and a baffled ceiling, aligning the project with modern energy management requirements.

Highways expertise

We also handled the highway design, including the S278 works, to create safe and efficient vehicle entrances and access routes to the development. By meeting the programme timelines and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders, including the council and highways authorities, we ensured the project was delivered on time and to the client’s satisfaction.

Overcoming challenges

In the later stages of the project, we supported the CAT B fit-out works, going beyond the standard ‘shed’ design to enhance the facility's overall functionality. By meeting the programme timelines and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders, including the council and highways authorities, we ensured the project was delivered on time and to the client’s satisfaction.
