Director of Finance & Corporate Services with megalomaniac tendencies. A loyal individual who speaks her mind and keeps things interesting.
Discovering at age 13 that I was never going to grow taller than 5’2’’ shattered my dreams of becoming a policewoman, back in those days there were height restrictions. So I turned to my other love and dreamed of becoming an accountant. More recently finding that I wasn’t content with Finance alone I’ve extended my area of responsibility to encompass all support services including HR, ICT and Business Risk.
Working in several service industry companies and manufacturing has provided me broad experience of industries and markets. Making the most of opportunities to travel all around the UK, Africa, Australia and Spain in the pursuit of opportunities for expansion and in support of many businesses, has kept me busy and enthusiastic for the world of finance.
Being persuaded to join BWB in 2005 was initially not my first choice as in comparison was a smaller entity than I’d worked for previously. But having been convinced that “big business” ideas were what BWB needed for their future growth I took up the mantel and have never looked back.
Being intrinsically involved in the CAF acquisition has been a particular highlight for me, an opportunity to really drive the business onto its next evolutionary phase. Continuing to make BWB a place people really love to work makes me stand back on occasion and feel really proud of what we’ve achieved.
Spending time with my family and my dogs is really fun, my brother, my sisters and my many nieces and nephews keep me grounded and my pockets empty.
Leading BWB from strength to strength.
