Flood Alleviation and Mitigation Design Bookmark and Share

BWB can promote flood alleviation schemes and mitigation which can be designed to provide protection as part of new developments or to address existing flooding issues within local communities.

These projects involve close liaison with clients, local councils and the Environment Agency in order to assess and present the optimum solution for the flooding issues presented. As part of these schemes, economic appraisals aim to balance cost against benefit to allow funding streams to be realised in order to secure contributions from local or national sources.

BWB have been involved at Project Appraisal Board meetings to present flood alleviation schemes and secure funding to the benefit of Clients or local communities.
