CEEQUAL Sustainable Infrastructure

Better communities, reduced environmental impact and improved business success are all achievable through the effective planning, design and construction of sustainable infrastructure. At BWB, we recognise that our work shapes the world in which we live in and provides a valuable opportunity to make a positive contribution to our society and environment.

Sustainability is a core company value at the heart of all our projects and is the key to us delivering the service demanded by our clients, this is clearly demonstrated by the fact that we have in-house CEEQUAL (Civil Engineering Environmental Quality Assessment & Award Scheme) assessors. Ranging from the use of recycled and secondary aggregates to larger scale renewable energy projects, BWB designs effective sustainable solutions at any scale.

CEEQUAL is the evidence-based sustainability assessment and awards scheme for civil engineering, infrastructure, landscaping and the public realm and celebrates the achievement of high environmental and social performance. It aims to deliver improved project specification, design and construction of civil engineering works. CEEQUAL rewards project and contract teams in which clients, designers and contractors go beyond the legal and environmental and social minima to achieve distinctive environmental and social performance in their work.
