PROJECT DESCRIPTION

BWB was first appointed in 2005 by Strawsons Property to provide comprehensive environmental and civil engineering services for the redevelopment of the former RAF Swinderby into a new village settlement incorporating approximately 1200 dwellings. Since then our Transport & Infrastructure Group have been significantly involved with this project from concept design stage through pre-planning stage, detailed design and construction of the first two phases of main infrastructure to serve the residential development cells and the village centre development.

BWB have arranged for services diversions and procurement of suitable services supplies on behalf of Strawsons and carried out the preliminary and detailed design of the adoptable highway and drainage design infrastructure incorporating road-side swales, wetland areas and balancing ponds. BWB also carried out a Project Management service for Strawsons, preparing development cost plans for the various stages of development and carrying out a tender and contract administration service on the four infrastructure/landscaping contracts let to date.
