The pier was originally opened on 22nd July 1886 on behalf of the Isle of Man Harbour Board. Built at a cost of £45,000, Ramsey Queens Pier was designed purely as a landing point for steamers plying the Liverpool, Fleetwood, Belfast and River Clyde routes.
BWB provided Project Management Services, Structural Appraisal and Replacement Strategy for a restoration project that significantly improved the structural integrity of the whole pier as well as making the area under and near the pier safer.
