Environmental Impact Assessment - Technical Chapters
This greenfield site is located to the west of Market Harborough and is part of a larger Strategic Development Area (SDA), with a land parcel to the north and south also being proposed for residential development by other developers.
This particular element of the wider SDA is earmarked for 450 properties with associated commercial and retail areas.
The site is steeply sloping and the construction of attenuation features for the surface water drainage system required special consideration. The Environment Agency had some concerns regarding the calculation methods used to establish existing and proposed discharge rates for the surface water drainage system.
Timescales were significantly constrained, so it was imperative to our Client that that BWB resolved any concerns with minimal impact. BWB engaged in a period of negotiation and successfully arrived at a solution that benefited both our Client and the Environment.
