PROJECT DESCRIPTION

BWB were appointed by Blueprint, a public/private sector JV regeneration company, to apply our full range of multi-disciplinary services to the challenging task of helping to secure planning consent for an innovative and sustainable Science Park development.

Following the successful granting of Planning Permission, BWB's key role in securing planning was recognised by the appointed Contractor, Morgan Sindall, and we were retained by them to develop the detailed design in accordance with Blueprint's Sustainable Investment Policy.

Despite its excellent strategic location, next to Nottingham University and an existing Science Park, the site was widely regarded as undevelopable because of its previous use as a landfill site, challenging access, drainage, flood defence and foundation constraints.

The Automotive Centre was a genuine fast-track project as a result of its late inclusion in this particular phase of the Science Park development. BWB's intimate knowledge of the site was key to delivery of a successful project, on time and to budget.
