BWB Consulting was central in the design and development of this 80 bedroom Travelodge hotel for Wykeland on Pryme Street in the centre of Hull.
As BWB was experienced in the delivery of similar developments within Hull, we were able to advise the Client of the poor nature of the load bearing strata before site investigations were undertaken. This early identification enabled the client to allow for suspended ground floor structures and piling within the pre-acquisition cost plan.
In addition, BWB identified the use of timber frame as a way of keeping structural mass to a minimum whilst enabling swift progress to be made on site once the transfer structure had been erected.
