PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Derby Arena was developed to support wider participation in sport and motivate and inspire current and future generations. The Arena provides a range of sporting, cultural, economic and regeneration benefits that will have a considerable impact on the city and its residents. The sporting facilities include a 250m indoor cycle track, a 12 court hall space predominately for badminton, basketball, netball, volleyball, futsal, 150 station gym, static bike studio, studios and meeting rooms. All areas are designed for multi-use, for users of all abilities to take part in new sport, physical activity opportunities and cultural events.

QMP supported Sport England and Derby City Council in the delivery of this project, providing project monitoring, advising on procurement and cost, and working as part of the Sport England Team to integrate their Design Guidance into the project.
