BWB are proud to be working on this luxurious new high spec 4 storey residential development in Hoxton - the cultural and bustling hotspot of East London.
The scheme comprises 24 stunning studio and 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments with commercial space to the basement and ground floor. The site formerly housed an industrial unit and car parking which was demolished to make way for the new development.
BWB are contracted to carry out the Structural Design and detailing of the RC 1st frame up to the 2 all below ground drainage design for the project. We have also been appointed to carry out the structural design of the upper floor using the AFS Structural System.
Key challenge related to achieving the programe to suit the Client which meant embracing new construction methods in the form of the AFS systems of concrete frame. There were also various challenges in the ground by the way of obstructions which required design changes in the construction period to attempt to keep on programme.
