PROJECT DESCRIPTION

BWB were appointed by Morgan Sindall to provide civil and structural engineering services for 2 phases of student accommodation in Leeds. The new All Saints Court complex at Leeds Trinity University Colleges main campus in Brownberrie Lane offers students a contemporary split-level, L-shaped building and features ten bedrooms specially adapted for students with disabilities.

The main structure comprised of an 8 and 9 storey braced steel frame with profiled metal deck floors. Strict floor to floor heights provided a significant challenge to the design team. The use of 3D revit software ensured that services coordination was achieved without any clashes.

The en-suite bedrooms are arranged into flats of six, each with its own shared kitchen. In order to fast-track the construction process, pre-fabricated bathroom pods were utilised and craned into position as the building was erected.
