PROJECT DESCRIPTION

BWB provided multi-disciplinary consultancy services for the £9 million York Sport Village on the University's Heslington East Campus. Our input included civil, structural and geotechnical engineering services, preparation of drainage strategies and detailed design of the enabling infrastructure.

The Sport Village complex features a competition-standard, eight-lane, 25-metre swimming pool, learner pool, full-size 3G Astroturf pitch, and three five-a-side pitches. Additional facilities included a 100-station computerised fitness suite, floorspace for classes such as spinning and yoga, three specialist treatment rooms, sauna and steam rooms and a cafeteria.
