PROJECT DESCRIPTION

New Build Teaching Block, extension to existing science Block and refurbishment of a further 3No. existing blocks to create new changing facilities, additional teaching facilities and increased dining facilities at Barrs Hill School, Coventry.

BWB Consulting provided Mechanical & Electrical Enhanced Performance Duties for the scheme and produced Stage 3 Tender documents for issue to the Design and Build Tenderers.

The project included the extension of the LPHW heating system to serve the new build teaching block, natural ventilation, domestic hot and cold water, above ground drainage, lighting, small power, data, fire alarm, security and provision of PV panels to produce 10% of the new buildings energy requirements

Thermal modelling of the building was carried out to ensure compliance with Building Regulations and Building Bulletin 101.
