BWB looks back on year of expansion
03 August 2021
During a year that saw many companies, across every sector and industry having to make difficult decisions in regard to staffing, BWB has remained committed to their growth aspirations.
Although a difficult year for many, 2020 saw BWB recruit an additional 60 new hires, with targets of a 200% increase for 2021. In line with our ambitious recruitment targets, by July 2021 we’d already recruited 86 new hires across the business ensuring a successful increase on the previous year already – and we’re not done!
Learning and development remains an important part of BWBs offer to staff, with plans to increase our commitment to graduate talent and apprenticeships so we can continue to support the next generation of engineers and the future workforce of BWB.
2021 also saw us invest in brand new teams and departments in line with our strategic business objectives and growth plans. Departments such as Communications and Recruitment have been established to support our expansion plans and establish us as leaders within our sector.
BWB CEO Steve Wooler notes:
“Remarkably, BWB is emerging from the pandemic-induced social and economic crisis as a stronger, more resilient business and, pleasingly, we’re growing strongly to service a surge in demand from Clients across multiple sectors. We responded quickly and decisively to the enormous challenges that Covid presented and, by protecting jobs and careers, we now have a business that’s ’firing on all cylinders'.
We’ve recruited some amazing people over the past year or so who’ve brought new ideas, energy and a passion to shine in a post-pandemic world that’s demanding creative and sustainable solutions to facilitate building back better. I can honestly say that in all the years I’ve been at BWB, the outlook has never been better!”
Be sure to keep an eye on the BWB career page as we continue with our ambitious growth plans.
