Top Wighay Farm ‘Eco Village’ project gets green light
18 May 2021
The multi-million pound Top Wighay Farm scheme, located in Hucknall in Nottinghamshire, has taken another step towards development after obtaining planning consent at the end of March.
This scheme will feature 805 new homes, a primary school, local centre and a safeguarded route for a potential future extension of the Nottingham tram network. This development brings potentially 1,000 full time jobs and a £870 million boost to the local economy.
Working alongside Arc Partnership and Gleeds, BWB were appointed to provide transport planning support for the large residential led mixed development. Access designs were provided into the site via the A611, to inform an initial planning application as well as supporting assessment work for the wider site to inform a subsequent planning application.
This project will undoubtably have a massively positive effect on the local area and community - we’ll be sure to share updates as it’s progresses. You can find more information on our expansive transport and infrastructure services available here.
