Cultural and political attitudes towards carbon usage and energy efficiency, encapsulated in tighter regulations and standards, have driven far-reaching changes in the property sector. Achieving appropriate balance between capital investment and whole life costs, whilst also future-proofing the environments in which to live and work, requires ever increasing knowledge and expertise. At BWB we understand the real value that a fully integrated approach to sustainable design can bring to development projects, both at present and in future. BWB's Sustainable Building Services is central to ensuring that these key issues are fully considered, alongside and as part of everything we do.
We offer a highly specialised integrated design capability that draws together the best minds within our organisation to develop pragmatic energy and carbon solutions, tailored to Client’s needs and fully compliant with legislation. BWB use state of the art software to promote collaboration, optimise design and deliver the very best project solutions for our Clients. To achieve this, we utilise a range of design software including IES dynamic thermal analysis, 3D AutoCAD Revit/BIM and Cymap systems analysis. We have proven expertise in using these packages and a particular specialism in dynamic thermal modelling. By utilising 3D modelling for integrated building design we are able to develop our energy solution in tandem and in harmony with our structural solution. We provide quality advice at all stages of a project's life-cycle, but we strongly recommend engagement at project feasibility stage in order that we can most effectively influence development strategy to deliver overall project success.
