BWB have been retained by Mowlem Building to assist them in providing a Design and Build service to Priority Sites for their development at Doncaster: Westmoor Park.
The scheme comprises 12 individual buildings being a mixture of industrial units, hybrid industrial/office or office/ warehouse buildings. The total development constitutes some 67,000 sq ft of development.
BWB have provided support to Mowlem's in house architect in developing the scheme through planning and into the construction phases.
BWB have developed the scheme with a strategy to link seamlessly into a possible phase II of development. The earthworks for the scheme, although constrained by minimum clearance to overhead electric cables, have been designed to provide a cut to fill balance for both phases of development. Whilst allowing the foundations to the buildings to be constructed as traditional pad foundations.
Drainage infrastructure has been designed as two stand alone systems with two different outfall positions. This allows un-attenuated discharge of surface water into adjacent sewers and watercourses.
