The £7million extension and refurbishment of the original ‘Palais de Danse’, a local landmark of Nottingham, completed in late 2004.
Flexibility of use is key in the new breed of nightclubs, and the unit is separated by various themed bars, a restaurant and two discotheques for a variety of music taste, and access availability.
A steel framed extension was attached to the existing structure with the formation of a new basement area within the underlying sandstone strata. Careful consideration was necessary to avoid noise &pollution&to adjacent properties and extensive sound insulation was installed with the existing structure strengthened accordingly.
