BWBs Qualified Person for National Quality Mark Scheme
14 February 2017
The National Quality Mark Scheme (NQMS)was launched on 9th January 2017. This scheme was created by the Land Forum and is supported by the Environment Agency, DCLG and DEFRA, and is currently being trialled in England.
The voluntary scheme will enable submissions on land contamination management work to be developed and signed off by Suitably Qualified Persons (SQP), with the aim of increasing confidence by ensuring technical and regulatory standards at met, thus creating a “getting it right first time” ethos. It is envisaged this will raise standards by creating efficiency and ultimately saving time and money for developers and regulatory authorities.
BWB are delighted to announce that Chris Sakalas, Service Manager in our Environment Group, an existing Specialist in Land Condition (SiLC) has recently qualified as an SQP, so we can now provide this “Quality Mark” to our reports, following the declaration by the SQP on the public NQMS register. If you would like to discuss this scheme further or require more information, please contact Chris or Rachel.
