BWB Consulting are involved in four NHS Local Initiative Finance Trust (LIFT) projects working with a Laing O´Rourke as part of the Excellcare consortium.
The first of these projects comprise of a total of thirty health centres in the North Nottinghamshire, South Derbyshire, Leicester and Greater Nottingham regions with a total estimated value of £150 million.
BWBs involvement in these projects varies dependant on the nature and requirements of each project but we will typically provide Traffic and Transportation advice to satisfy planning requirements, Ground Investigation services to identify any abnormities in terms of foundations or contamination/ remediation requirements and structural and civil engineering services to complete the design developments and construction of the projects.
These projects represent new form of procurement by the NHS to address concerns raised by the Procure 21 and PFI procurement methods to provide health suites to suit the needs of local Healthcare Trusts.
