The project comprised the redevelopment of an existing city centre site, providing an 80,000 sq ft, integrated study facility, to support the electronic library development well into the next century.
The scheme comprised a five storey steelwork superstructure with a Turbodeck flooring system and piled foundations with a secant piled basement wall. The structure was designed with particular attention to sound transfer, the accommodation of services and high quality finishes.
