

BWB provided Engineering and Environmental services to assist in the redevelopment of this major ‘brownfield’ site from pre-acquisition through master planning to advanced detailed design.
The redevelopment included the construction of large warehouse and distribution Units, high tech industrial/research facilities and high quality office accommodation all on the site of the former Coventry Colliery / Homefire Works Site.
The infrastructure comprised the construction of approximately 3km of link road and 2km of on-site distributor road, major adoptable drainage networks including two feature balancing lakes and the provision of rail link and sidings to the warehouse/distribution buildings.
The first two phases of this development, which comprise over 1,500,000 sq ft of mixed commercial/distribution development, are now complete. Once the whole site is developed it will provide a total of approximately 2,000,000 sq ft of industrial and commercial use.
