BWB were appointed by Wilson Bowden Developments to provide a full engineering service for the redevelopment of the former GEC works into a major retail park on the outskirts of Rugby, Warwickshire.

Our geo-technical and environmental division undertook a significant investigation to establish the extent of contamination due to the previous use of the site.

A remediation strategy was agreed with both the Local Authority and Environment Agency. BWB Consulting provided full-time Resident Engineers to ensure that all site works were in compliance.

The retail development comprised a multi-screen cinema, bowling alley, retail terrace and substantial external works.
