BWB were appointed by Wilson Bowden Developments to provide geo-technical, civil, structural and traffic and transportation engineering design services for this prestigious development in Harlow, Essex. The development included new Civic Offices, 250,000ft2 of retail accommodation, health and fitness facilities and a 1200 space car park on two levels.

Before redevelopment could commence, it was necessary to relocate the listed Water Gardens and certain public sewers.

Structural frame solutions included both structural steelwork and reinforced concrete supported upon traditionally constructed foundations with ground-bearing slabs. Retaining walls are constructed in both reinforced concrete and gabions.
