BWB were appointed by Wilson Bowden Developments for the redevelopment of part of the existing General Hospital site in the centre of Nottingham into a prestigious high-quality office complex.

The structure comprised a steelwork frame with composite metal-decked flooring supported off a combination of either piling or traditional foundations.

As caves were known to be present, an extensive probing exercise was undertaken to ensure absence of voids under foundations.

Due to level differences, existing highways were to be temporarily propped prior to the construction of permanent reinforced concrete retaining walls.
