Cost and Time Scales?

The time it takes to prepare an Flood Risk Assessment is largely dependant on the time it takes to obtain the relevant information from the regulatory authorities and to obtain a suitable topographical survey. Generally, we receive data within 3 weeks of instruction and produce a report four weeks after that.

If river modelling is required for the site, this is likely to mean that the Flood Risk Assessment takes longer to produce, dependent upon the scale and nature of the model required.

The cost of preparing an Flood Risk Assessment can vary greatly between different sites and depends largely on the complexity of flood risk issues. PPS 25 states that the complexity of a flood risk report should reflect the scale of the development and the potential significance and nature of the risk.

We can carry out work on a lump sum basis or alternately on a time charge basis within an appropriate fee ceiling. Please contact us with site details for a budget cost.
